The front and back covers are constructed of high-quality semi-gloss paper. The entire back of the cover features daisy white flowers with pink centers laid out on a celadon green background. This print wraps around to the front left side of the cover. A small striped “ribbon” peeks out from behind the daisy pattern. A pink satin ribbon runs from the top of the front cover to the bottom, with a pink ribbon attached at the top to a tag that reads “itty-bitty Baby Days.” The background on the right side of the front cover is light pink with barely visible white dots. A sweet little baby bluebird appliqué adorns one of the three flowers that sparkle with glitter. A butterfly spreads its wings as it flutters over her flowers.

The inside front and back covers are lined in paper that is printed in a daisy design like the one found on the cover. Opening to the first page, there is a special area for the parents to dedicate this book to their little girl. Illustrations of little garden creatures (frogs, butterflies, birds, bumblebees, and snails) and flowers appear throughout . Each page is printed on high-quality paper in various designs in pastel shades of pink, green, orange and yellow.
