Baby Clothes & Clotheline Themed Baby Shower Ideas
You don’t have to be a fashionista to love The Baby Clothes Baby Shower party supplies theme – but it will help! Of course it will also appeal to those Moms to be who go gooey over tiny baby clothes, and we reckon that’s most women – Moms, Moms to be and women who haven’t even thought of motherhood yet! The Clothesline Baby Shower theme will work well in most homes, but here are some ideas to make your party perfect: The light yellow or lavender table covers compliment the Baby Clothes plates, napkins and cups beautifully. Choose one of our breathtaking
Diaper Cakes for the centerpiece of your table. The Light Yellow Orchids Diaper Cake is particularly lovely and fits in perfectly with the clothes theme. Then scatter some Baby Clothes Confetti on the table for a fabulous finishing touch. There is nothing cuter than pint-sized clothes hanging on a line. If you already have some baby clothes, you could peg them up, if not use our adorable Baby Clothes Shaped Banner or Hanging Cutouts.
Menu & Activities for your Baby Clothing Shower
As it’s all about baby, how about selecting food that you’d normally find at a little kid’s party? You could make sandwiches and cut them up into bite sizes. Little sausages on a stick always go down a treat, as do raw vegetables, such as carrots and celery, cut up into sticks. To add a little sophistication, make dips such as hummus, guacamole or satay sauce (although remember to check if anyone has a peanut allergy). Cup cakes are perfect to compliment this theme, especially if they are decorated with pastel colored icing sugar to match the pretty colors of the Baby Clothes. You could even decorate your cup cakes with our Amorini Chocolate Hearts, in assorted colors. They’ll look darling! When it comes to drinks, you could continue the pastel theme with milk shakes or fruit smoothies. If you want something more sophisticated consider ‘mocktails’, or non-alcoholic cocktails to those of us who are more used to the alcoholic versions! One of our favorites uses 3 oz Orange Juice, 3 oz Cranberry Juice and 3 oz Club Soda. Shake the orange and cranberry juice with ice, then add the Club Soda. Decorate the glass with pieces of cut fruit for a pretty twist.
Clothes have to be the centerpiece of this party, so how about some fashion related games to add some real fun! One of our favorites is a game to see who can make a dress the fastest. Put your guests into teams of two. In each team, one guest should wear the dress, and the other gets to make it. Give each team a roll of loo roll and see who can fashion it into a dress the fastest. Another less hectic game involves wrapping up lots of baby related items, such as a dummy, safety pin, rattle, bootie etc. Put them in a large box filled with shredded paper. Get your guests to have a feel of all the items and guess what they are. There are more ideas for games in our Baby Clothes Game Book.
